C for Changes (in address)

Hello! A belated blog following many changes happening; the main change being the third house move (in two years!)

House moving is statistically considered one of the most stressful and complicated processes to manage. According to slothmove, the average adult in the UK will move house a total of eight times in their lifetime*. We were one of 232,000 households in the United Kingdom who managed to move to another home just this year with 39,000 still wanting to move in 2023.**

Moving house with two children under the age of ten needed organization and forward thinking. It would be useful to speak to as many people in the area prior and note any points of challenge to impact the house move; in the local architecture, gardens and interiors. Despite moving within a few miles in the Cotswolds, it repeatedly came with the anticipation of what furniture will fit up the cottage stairs. A reminder to oneself regarding strategy in construction and building materials for existing and future domestic spaces in the UK and EU.

Also managed some family respite in Spain (blog to follow) and looking forward to an exciting autumn.
